Winston Dayal Bio

Gospel Steelpannist Winston Dayal, has appeared at numerous venues across the greater Toronto area including the 100 Huntley Street telecast, Heaven's Rehearsal at the Rogers Centre in 2008, at the Air Canada Centre in 2007 and internationally at the Barbados Gospel Fest in 2006. His debut album ‘Anointed Pan,' which contains steel pan renditions of well-loved hymns, won a Covenant Award in 2002 for Best Instrumental Album. He released his Christmas album in 2006 entitled ‘Christmas Rhythms in Steel’ and his third, entitled ‘Glorious Pan,’ features his renditions of popular praise and worship songs. His hope is to continue to reach people for the Lord through an instrument that hasn’t conventionally been used in North American Gospel music.
